What we do
BSW Energy Malaysia was set up to work in the renewables sector, utilising biomass, solar and wind technologies. Presently, our primary focus is on producing biomass for power generation. Biomass can be used either as a stand-alone fuel source, or in conjunction with other materials, such as municipal solid waste.
We have a range of different biomass options that can be employed to best suit the requirements of a project. For example, BSW has conducted multiple feasibility studies for biomass-to-power projects that involved identifying potentially suitable crops, then planting, growing, harvesting and utilising Pakchong grass, a high-yielding, fast-growing, C4 sterile hybrid, sometimes called HTG by BSW.
BSW also has expertise in producing palatable, high calorific value crops for use as an energy source in animal feeds.
